Axiom Medical Silicone Thoracic Catheter without ClotStop
Axiom Thoracic Catheters and Mediastinal Drains are made from medical grade silicone and are available in a wide variety of sizes (including pediatric) and configurations:
All are individually packaged, sterile, non-toxic, X-ray opaque and available with or without our proprietary hydrophilic ClotStop coating (see Ordering Information at page 3). ClotStop is a hydrogel polymer coating, made of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), that absorbs liquid to create a low-friction surface

Axiom Medical Silicone Thoracic Catheter Indications
The Axiom Thoracic Catheters and Mediastinal Drains are intended for suction and drainage of air and/or certain fluid (e.g., pus, extravascular blood, tissue fluids, bile) from the intrathoracic space in both peri-operative and post-operative situations in a variety of surgical procedures.
The Axiom Thoracic Catheters are indicated to be used in both the pleural cavity and mediastinum. The Axiom Mediastinal Drains are indicated to be used in the mediastinum only.
