C.R. Bard 600190L Foley Catheters

Lapides -Urologists and gynecologists use this type of Foley catheter to profile the urethra as well as to diagnose and treat incontinence. This model has five radiopaque rings located below the balloon. The rings facilitate calibration of the female urethra. Each ring is 1cm apart, sizing the urethra to the bladder. Rings are used for visual or tactile measurement. (0171L18)

Davis- The double-balloon design aids in diagnosing urethral diverticula. Diverticula can fill during urination and lead to infection. The sliding meatal balloon accommodates any female urethral length. A single eye is located below the bladder balloon and above the meatal balloon. A 30cc Bardex balloon is used in the bladder. A cone-shaped 20 cc meatal balloon provides an effective seal for the meatus to contain the contrast material. Radiopaque contrast media is introduced into the central lumen of the catheter to visualize the false passages of the urethra. (0187L14)

Trattner- A unique double-balloon design aids in diagnosing urethral diverticula. A single eye is located below the bladder balloon and above the meatal balloon to introduce contrast media. A 5cc Bardex balloon is used in the bladder. A 20cc cone-shaped meatal balloon provides an effective seal for the meatus to contain the contrast material. Radiopaque contrast media is introduced into the central lumen of the catheter to be placed into the false passages of the urethra.

  • Double-balloon design aids in diagnosis of urethral diverticula.
  • Hydrogel coating facilitates insertion and removal and helps to reduce encrustation on the inner and outer catheter surface.
